We have an active role in stirring ourselves up to worship God.
Colossians 3:1-2, 16-17
What are your affections for God currently like? Are they passionate and inflamed or are they dry and indifferent? Are their days when your heart is not moved by God's grace? How often do you find yourself there?
Pastor Buster encouraged us to, in the words of Gary Bridges, "Preach the gospel to yourself" in those times. He described this practice as daily owning up to your sins and running to Christ as our only hope. Take a practical moment and preach the gospel to yourself now.
We are a forgetful people and often forget the good news of the gospel. One of the best ways to stir our hearts for the Lord is to intentionally place ourselves in community that will point us to Jesus. We can do this even in our families. What are some practical examples of how we can point one another to Jesus & remind each other to preach the gospel to ourselves?
It blesses the Lord when we remember and marvel at his grace.
Take a few moments and write down and discuss the reasons your soul has to bless the Lord. What has God done in your life that you don't want to forget? What has he delivered you from?
What are some lies you find yourself believing that blind you from seeing God's grace in your life? What circumstances do you find yourself in when you struggle to remember God's grace?
Take a moment and consider the overarching story that God is telling in all of history. Consider how he has shown his grace throughout scripture beginning with the covenants of the Old Testament and into the New Testament Church we are a part of today. Your life fits into that grand narrative. Take a moment and marvel at the grandeur of God's grace.

Worship of Jesus results in us calling others to worship him too.
2 Corinthians 5:18-21
Who in your life needs to hear good news? Who needs to hear that they are loved? Who is God calling you to tell about Jesus, that they might come to know, love and worship him?
Do you live your life in such a way that others can tell you worship (value in the way you live) Jesus? Are you calling people to worship Jesus with both your actions and your words?
We understand that God is a sending God, a missional God. He sent Jesus to us and now sends us, together, into the world on his mission. As you worship as a family, how can you live more intentionally as a part of your gospel community and as a part of our church to see others come to worship Jesus?
